My daughter and I were harvesting the last crops from our garden. It was not a bumper crop. The ground has hard, rocky and held moisture poorly.
"How can we make this better?" I thought
Many fertilizers and additives on the market had lengthy ingredient lists and warnings regarding potential hazards to plants, animals and humans alike. I knew these may help our crops but were they solving the problem or creating to more? As an environmentalist at heart I knew these products were not for me. Then I discovered vermicast, an organic soil additive that is completely safe and naturally produced (by worms!) from waste that may otherwise end up in landfills.
We now produce high quality screened vermicast and provide the tools and resources for you to successfully create your own while reducing your household waste.

Building healthy soil so that plants can thrive doesn't have to risk harming children or pets - alternatively it can benefit both crop production and our environment.
